SIAL collaborated with Vinexpo and partnered with the European Union pavilion. There were more than 300 exhibitors and 8000 professionals who exhibited their food and wine brands at the event There was also active participation under APEDA and MOFPI with support from IFCA (The Indian Federation of Culinary Associations), FIFHI (Federation of Indian Food & Hospitality Industry), PPFI (Purchasing Professionals Forum India), FIFI (Forum of Indian Food Importers) and FIWA (Fidelity Institutional Wealth Adviser).

Many food brands from Portugal, France, and other EU countries displayed their food products as well as wines at the event to promote and expand their reach to the Indian market. ‘‘We are showcasing wines from different EU nations. We have some very unique wines from various wine producers in Spain, Italy, France, Hungary, Greece, Romania, and Lithuania. It’s been a great experience to showcase such a wide variety and diversity of wines to not just wine enthusiasts, but also to food enthusiasts who have come for the SIAL Food Expo. And it’s great because there is a new wave of people wanting to know more about the different wines that are being brought into India. I think SIAL and Vine Expo have been partnering for many years now and it’s a great platform that SIAL has provided Vine Expo to be a part of,’’ says Devti MalikSommelier and a wine consultant from a Gurgaon-based wine consulting company
