Swiggy has launched an initiative#SheTheChange which highlights a pivotal shift in India’s F&B landscape. This initiative not only celebrates the entrepreneurial spirit but also serves as a catalyst for fostering inclusivity and gender equality in the sector.
The event was attended by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman which showcases the government’s recognition and support for such initiatives that empower women in business. The food delivery firm provides a platform for women to not only display their culinary skills but also their entrepreneurial spirit. With over 50,000 women-led businesses flourishing on Swiggy’s platform, it’s evident that the ecosystem is conducive to their growth and success.
”I firmly believe that every woman, whether recognized with an award or not, serves as an inspiration. Organizations like Swiggy play a pivotal role in creating opportunities for women in the industry. Reflecting on their journey, just a couple of years ago, their customer base may have been a fraction of what it is today. These achievements aren’t merely statistical milestones; they are the result of your hard work, dedication, and steadfast commitment,’’ says Nirmala Sitharaman at the event.
#SheTheChange is not just an initiative; it’s a movement that displays the power of women’s entrepreneurship, reshaping the narrative of the F&B industry in India and beyond.
