This intimate event, curated by renowned chef consultant Ajay Chopra, was a celebration of innovation, collaboration, and the ever-evolving landscape of tropical cuisine.
Inspired by the firefly, a tropical insect that thrives in the warmth of the night, Jugnu embodies the magic of vibrant flavors and glowing hospitality. Set in the stunning backdrop of Jugnu’s restored 160-year-old Portuguese house, the evening was designed to spark conversation and foster a sense of community among Goa’s top culinary talents. Attendees included Chef Avinash Martin, Chef Vincent Dias, Chef Paresh, Chef Roland, Chef Cletus, Chef Vasquito, Chef Piku, Chef Madhav Dhayal (Miguel’s), Chef Harish Rao (Hosa), Chef Ralph Prazeres (Padaria Prazeres), Chef Jyoti Singh (Second House), Chef Abhishek Deshmane (Slow Tide), Chef Halton & Pranav Duri (Petisco), Gracian, Chef Ranjit Pandey & team (Holiday Inn & Fishermen’s Wharf), Balaji (Taj), Chef Tushar Malkani & team, and Chef Tenzin, who came together to experience a menu that seamlessly blended nostalgia with contemporary tropical flavors.
