With a strong and growing presence in the market, the brand is now gearing up for sustained expansion in the region. Having successfully established outlets in key locations such as Newtown, Chinar Park, Park Street, and Metropolis Mall, Chinese Wok is committed to strengthening its footprint in Kolkata and beyond, bringing its signature flavours to even more food lovers across East India.

With a strong presence across 220+ locations in 35+ cities, Chinese Wok is aggressively scaling its footprint, targeting a sales run rate of Rs. 650 crore by March 2025 and an ambitious Rs. 1000 crore by FY26. The expansion into East India is a part of the company’s broader vision to open 100 new restaurants across 20 cities by FY25 and reach 500+ locations within three years, with a strategic focus on Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets. The company plans to open 25+ outlets in this region over the course of the next one year.

“Kolkata has been a key market for us, and the response to Chinese Wok over the past few months has reaffirmed our confidence in the city’s immense potential,” said Aayush Madhusudan Agrawal, Founder and Director, Lenexis Foodworks. “With a strong and growing presence, we are now focused on scaling up in Kolkata and expanding further across East India. Our goal is to build a robust network in the region by opening new outlets, enhancing our supply chain, and creating job opportunities. As we continue our growth journey, we remain committed to delivering high-quality, affordable Indo-Chinese cuisine while strengthening our footprint in one of India’s most dynamic food markets.” In addition to Chinese Wok, the company also owns leading cloud kitchen brands such as Big Bowl and The Momo Co.

The expansion is expected to generate significant employment opportunities, with each new outlet creating direct and indirect jobs across kitchen operations, customer service, logistics, and supply chain management. Lenexis Foodworks will also collaborate with local vendors and suppliers to ensure authenticity and efficiency in sourcing fresh ingredients, further strengthening its commitment to sustainable growth.
