The Council of Indian Food Trade (CIFT), an apex trade and investment body supported by various ministries of the Government of India, has organized a significant India Pavilion at the 23rd edition of UzFood 2024, held from March 26th to 28th, 2024. UzFood is a key event in the Uzbekistan food industry, drawing leading producers, suppliers, and distributors from both national and global food markets.
The 2024 edition attracted 11,000 visitors from 33 countries and 13 regions of Uzbekistan, with 10,000 of these being professional visitors. Over 10 members of the Council of Indian Food Trade showcased their products at the India Pavilion, attracting considerable attention from visitors. Notable participants from the frozen meat industry included Allanasons Pvt Ltd, HMA Agro Industries, Al Dua Food Processing Pvt Ltd, Al Quresh Exports, Fair Exports India Pvt Ltd, India Frozen Foods Pvt Ltd, Mirha Exports Pvt Ltd, Rustam Foods Pvt Ltd, Al Ammar Frozen Foods Pvt Ltd, and Marya Frozen Foods Pvt Ltd.
A highlight of UzFood 2024 was its well-curated theme, the Retail Centre, which provided a specialized platform for interactions between food manufacturers and buyers, retailers, and distributors. Organizers facilitated meetings between participants and leading retailers of Uzbekistan, allowing retailers to select exhibitors for 10-minute discussions based on product preferences in dedicated areas within the exhibition. This concept garnered significant interest and participation from both exhibitors and retailers.
His Excellency Manish Prabhat, Ambassador of India to the Republic of Uzbekistan, visited UzFood and engaged with all Indian participants, assuring full support to the Indian embassy in promoting Indian food products in Uzbekistan.
Furthermore, UzFood featured a series of seminars, workshops, and panel discussions on the latest trends and technologies in the food and hospitality industry, enriching the overall experience for attendees and participants alike.
