What inspired you to pursue a career in the food and grocery sector?

My inspiration to pursue a career in the food and grocery sector stemmed from my background in hotel management and a deep-seated passion for both food and sales. This unique combination of interests fueled my desire to enter an industry where I could blend my culinary enthusiasm with my sales acumen. The dynamic nature of the sector offered numerous opportunities for growth and innovation, allowing me to leverage my skills and passions effectively while advancing my career. 

What part of your job brings you the greatest fulfillment?

Building strong relationships with customers is deeply rewarding, as it fosters trust and collaboration, leading to mutual success. Achieving sales targets provides a clear sense of accomplishment and drives continuous improvement. Additionally, exploring innovative ways to present and place products not only enhances their market appeal but also keeps me engaged and motivated by constantly seeking new solutions and strategies. 

Any role model who has influenced you?

My father is my greatest role model, shaping my values and work ethic profoundly. Additionally, I’m fortunate to have a mentor who continues to be my go-to for guidance and support. 

What personal qualities or skills are essential for thriving in this industry?

Passion for food and sales is crucial for success in the industry. Coupled with a strong eagerness to learn and the ability to apply innovative approaches to various situations, it drives meaningful progress and achievement. 

How do you stay motivated and inspired in your role?

I stay motivated and inspired by deeply believing in the mission of my company, the guidance of my mentors, and the value of my products. This conviction helps me maintain focus and composure during challenging times. I also find inspiration in continuous learning and adapting to new challenges, which fuels my drive and commitment. Celebrating small victories and reflecting on the positive impact of my work further sustains my enthusiasm and dedication. 

Any memorable experience or achievement in your career that you’re proud of?

While I have many memorable achievements, my first sales experience remains the most significant. Securing my initial restaurant account and making my first sale for a premium water brand stands out as a top highlight. 

What’s the one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?

I’m a very home-oriented person who enjoys spending my free time with family or close friends. 

What methods do you use to stay current with the latest developments and innovations in your field?

I stay connected with my professional network and regularly seek insights from friends across various organizations. 

Any learnings that you would like to share?

Always trust your gut and always be honest with your work. Often, your gut feelings reflect deep-seated knowledge and experience that can guide you through complex decisions.  Equally crucial is maintaining honesty in your work. Integrity not only builds trust with colleagues and clients but also fosters a culture of transparency and reliability. These principles together create a foundation for personal growth and professional success.
