What part of your job brings you the greatest fulfillment?
Building the category and developing a compelling product mix, supported by a robust distribution and sales network, is both intriguing and rewarding. Leading a larger team to drive consumer delight adds to the fulfillment of this work.
What personal qualities or skills are essential for thriving in this industry?
Essential qualities include customer centricity, collaboration, strong people skills, result orientation, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
Any role model who has influenced you?
My perspective has been shaped by different stages of grooming. My father instilled calmness, honesty, humility, and positivity. In my career, I learned to think differently and drive results, while recently focusing on understanding diverse personalities, empowerment, and effective communication to lead teams. These experiences enable me to tackle challenges with confidence.
Any memorable experience or achievement in your career that you’re proud of?
I’m particularly proud of implementing two pivotal process changes that became cornerstones of our operations:
- Centralized Order Processing & Stock Management System, which streamlined order fulfillment and inventory management, significantly enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
- Large Pack/Kitted Pack Development Funnel, revolutionizing product development and supply chain management.
These changes were successfully executed at Britannia and replicated at GCPL, leading to lasting organizational transformation. They enhanced operational efficiency, reduced costs, and improved customer satisfaction.
How do you stay motivated and inspired in your role?
I stay motivated and inspired by embracing the mantra, “Love what you do. It defines you.” This perspective helps me navigate challenges with passion and purpose, driving me to excel in my role.
What’s the one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
I have domestic life KPIs, just like in business—driven by my wife and appraised by my kids! It keeps my personal life as focused and accountable as my professional one.
