Tata Trent’s retail chain, Star Bazaar, has made a significant expansion by opening a new store in Hyderabad, Telangana. This development was shared by the retail chain’s executive, Suma Sriharsha, on her LinkedIn handle.

The new store is located in Vijay Nagar Colony, Hyderabad, further enhancing the brand’s presence in the city. Suma Sriharsha, Operations Director, Star Bazaar, expressed her excitement about the new store in a LinkedIn post: “Namaskaram Hyderabad. Star welcomes you to our new store at Karmanghat. Please visit our store for all your grocery shopping needs.”

STAR is a well-known retail chain in India, specializing in fresh food and groceries. The chain has grown substantially since 2008 when TATA partnered with TESCO to strengthen the business and brand. This strategic partnership has enabled STAR to expand its footprint and enhance its offerings to customers.

In 2017, STAR further extended its reach by launching an online platform, STAR Quik. This platform serves as the sourcing partner for STAR hypermarkets and STAR supermarkets, allowing customers to shop for their groceries online and have them delivered to their doorstep. STAR Quik has been instrumental in catering to the evolving shopping preferences of customers who seek convenience and efficiency.

The STAR brand currently operates 48 stores across major Indian cities, including Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Kolhapur, and Hyderabad. Each store is designed to provide a comprehensive shopping experience, offering a wide range of products from fresh produce to household essentials.

In addition to its retail operations, STAR has developed its in-house brands, FABSTA and SKYE. FABSTA focuses on food and beverage products while SKYE offers a range of personal care products, ensuring that customers have access to essential items that meet their daily needs.

The opening of the new store reflects the brand’s growth strategy and its dedication to providing a modern retail experience, blending physical stores with its online platform to meet the diverse needs of its customer base.
