Starbucks Opens Its Highest Altitude Outlet in Manali, Himachal Pradesh

US-based coffee chain Starbucks has inaugurated its first outlet in Manali, its second in Himachal Pradesh. This new outlet is located on the Manali-Leh highway at Palchan Hotel and Spa, just 8 km from Manali city, near popular tourist spots like Solang Valley, Atal Tunnel, and Rohtang Pass.

This outlet is Starbucks’ highest in India, situated at an altitude of 7,697 feet. It offers scenic views of the trans-Himalayan ranges and natural surroundings.

Commenting on the new outlet, Rahul Chaudhary, Store Expansion & Business Development-North, Starbucks India, posted on his LinkedIn handle, “This is our highest altitude store in India, located at a height of 7,697 feet. The store overlooks the majestic trans-Himalayan ranges and is a nature’s paradise. You can sip your favorite cup of coffee while enjoying mesmerizing views of snow-clad mountains. Whether you are a biker heading to Leh Ladakh, or visiting Manali, Atal Tunnel, Sissu, and Rohtang, do stop by to have your favorite cup of coffee at this beautiful store.”

Operated through a joint venture between Seattle-based Starbucks Coffee Co. and Tata Consumer Products Ltd., the Starbucks-branded coffee chain continues to expand its presence across the country. Notably, the company also established its first-ever outlet in the Delhi High Court.

As part of its growth strategy, Starbucks aims to penetrate tier 2 and 3 cities in India. Additionally, it plans to introduce services such as drive-thru, airport outlets, and 24-hour store formats to cater to the diverse needs of customers. With its commitment to expand its reach and  enhance customer experience, the brand plans to open 1000 new outlets in the country by 2028.
