Sunpure, South India’s largest edible oil brand, has launched a new Blended Spices category, starting with Sunpure Sambar, Rasam, and Puliyogare Powders, projected to generate INR 10-12 crore in revenues for FY 2024-25. This follows their entry into the INR 25,000-crore branded spices market with products like Red Chilli, Turmeric, and Coriander Powders.
Sunpure aims to become a Pan-India FMCG brand promoting healthy living, with all blended spices made from natural ingredients and no artificial additives. Each spice is sourced from its origin for optimal freshness; for example, Puliyogare Powder includes tamarind from Tumkur and peanuts from Chitradurga.
As part of the ‘Make in India’ initiative, Sunpure is expanding its portfolio of Indian oils and has recently launched cold-pressed, chemical-free Mustard Oil. The company, which acquired Maharashtra’s Riso brand this year, reported 15% growth and is increasing its presence across several states, including Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
Sunpure’s Sambar Powder is available in 100g (₹65), 200g (₹130), and 15g (₹10) packs; Rasam Powder in 100g (₹68), 200g (₹136), and 15g (₹10); and Puliyogare Powder in 100g (₹70), 200g (₹135), and 30g (₹10) packs, all available in Karnataka.
