Swiggy Collaborates with ‘Singham Again’ Team to Set Guinness World Record for Largest Vada Pav Delivery

Must Read

Indian food delivery platform, Swiggy, has achieved a new Guinness World Record by delivering 11,000 vada pavs in a single order. The record-breaking delivery was made possible through a collaboration with the team of the upcoming film Singham Again, including actor Ajay Devgn and director Rohit Shetty.

Swiggy executed the milestone delivery using its newly launched Swiggy XL Fleet, a fleet of electric vehicles specifically designed for bulk orders. The vada pavs were sourced from the renowned Mumbai vendor, MM Mithaiwala, and distributed to children from schools supported by the Robin Hood Army, an NGO dedicated to combating hunger through surplus food distribution.

The delivery spanned several schools across Mumbai, including institutions in Bandra, Juhu, Andheri East, Malad, and Borivali. The event was inaugurated at Airport High School & Junior College in Vile Parle, where Ajay Devgn, Rohit Shetty, and Swiggy Co-founder Phani Kishan Addepalli were present.

Speaking on the occasion, Phani Kishan Addepalli, Co-founder and Chief Growth Officer of Swiggy, remarked, “In our 10 years, Swiggy has delivered millions of vada pavs across Mumbai and other cities. Now, we are going XL by partnering with Singham Again to set a Guinness World Record for the largest single order of vada pavs. This initiative reflects Swiggy’s commitment to handling orders of all sizes while celebrating Mumbai’s iconic street food.”

Director Rohit Shetty echoed this sentiment, stating, “We are delighted to have partnered with Swiggy for this record-breaking initiative. Just like Singham’s larger-than-life persona, this event is aimed at making a meaningful impact by providing food to children.”

Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty were actively involved in the event, further enhancing the significance of the collaboration between Swiggy and Singham Again. The successful execution of this initiative marks a new chapter in Swiggy’s history, reinforcing its ability to manage large-scale operations while contributing to social causes.

Phani Kishan later took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), stating, “When Swiggy meets Singham, world records are meant to be broken.”
