Third Eye Distillery expands into whiskey with launch of Otherside Subcontinental Whiskey

Must Read

Goa-based Third Eye Distillery, the maker of Stranger & Sons Gin, has entered the whisky market with the launch of Otherside Subcontinental Whiskey. Responding to the growing demand for premium Indian spirits, the brand’s first whisky marks its foray into India’s largest spirits category.

Crafted and aged in India, Otherside Whiskey is matured across the country’s tropical belt, embracing its extreme climate conditions, including intense heat, monsoons, and shifting seasons. The whisky undergoes finishing in charred ex-Bourbon barrels using the Solera method, resulting in enhanced complexity and depth.

Rahul Mehra, CEO and co-founder, Third Eye Distillery, emphasized India’s evolving role in whisky-making, stating:
“Whisky is a crowded room. The impact of our climate, geography, and ageing environment makes this a whisky that can only come from here, redefining India’s provenance in whisky making. For too long, Scots have set rules for whisky, and it’s about time India starts writing its own story.”

Bottled at 40% ABV, Otherside Whiskey is now available in Goa and Maharashtra, priced between Rs. 2,100-3,250.
